screen saver
A program that prevents damage to a TV screen or PC monitor by maintaining the constant movement of images. If a stationary image remains on a screen for an extended period of time, the image may burn into the screen. The WebTV Plus screen saver is activated when you stop using your terminal, but do not turn it off.
